Solanum Nigrum is a fairly common plant which is more commonly found in the various wooden areas. Species from the solanum genus, it can reach to the height of 30-120 cm with a leaves of about 4-7.5 cm long. Solanum nigrum flowers have petals which are greenish to whitish in nature when aged. Its fruits are oval black berries which can be seen in small hanging clusters. Fruits are also used as a cosmetics because its seeds are rubbed on the cheeks for removing freckles. Its use can also be find in diabetes. The infusion of plant is used as an enema for infants and can be used for curing abdominal upsets. Leaves are used as consumable and strongly promote perspiration. The juice extract from the fresh herb is found to be very effective for fever.
