Mimosa Pudica has been known as the creeping annual herb and whose growth is associated with the curiosity value. Mimosa pudica has been known for its fasten plant movement. During the evening the leaflets get fold together but it again reopen with the rising of the sun. In the year 1753, it was first described by Carl Linnaeus in Species Plantarum. When its leaves are touched they get fold inward and droop and reopen after some minutes. It is more commonly found in the south america and central america. The decoction of mimosa pudica root is used with water for gargling purpose, which in turns help in reducing toothache. It has been found very useful in case of diarrhea and for curing amoebic dysentery, bleeding piles, urinary infections. Mimosa pudica is put in use for curing various neurological problems and due to its medicinal properties, it is also used for treating skin diseases. The roots of mimosa pudica are bitter, acrid, cooling, alexipharmic and vulnerary in nature.
